Any ideas on how to make sure that japanese fonts show up correctly if the base systems doesn't have them installed? Google keeps throwing noise I figure an extension could be made somehow, but thats a whole lot of work I would rather not do.

If the host system does not have the Japanese fonts/codepages installed, I'm afraid I do no believe this will be possible.
Kind regards,

geek menu https://portableapps.com/node/9883 has desktop integration features that allow you to add things like send-to, places bar, and fonts when it runs, which would mean that you should be able to get it to temporarily install your japanese-coding enabled fonts, run FFP, and then when you exit and close the menu it should clean up for you
As far as I know, you need admin rights to install fonts. I read through the geek menu page and couldn't see any mention on this. Does it get around the admin rights problem?
