Hi guys,
i'm looking for some new games, but i can't
find much for the PA.com program.
my gameideas:
- cannonball
- memory
- something like elastomania (this nice small bike game)
- car-race game
i would do some own games, but i'm not able to
perform such...
all you have to do is to type in those games into that search box up there, and they will appear. Isn't it just magic?
By the way, I am working on SuperTuxKart.
Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.
oh yes, it's magic
btw sounds nice - work faster i need games
Jagged Alliance 2 is another game that is portable in the sense that you can copy the game directory anywhere and it will work without problems. No registry keys or stored settings anywhere in the OS.
The program source code was released as open source a few years ago, but the graphics and music and so forth are still proprietary (the game is still being sold in stores) or I would open a request thread.
There's a Linux version as well.
i'm working on 2 or 3 games right now that should be out soon. None of the ones you listed though.
What games are you working on?

well i just did Secret Maryo Chronicles, and there are a few easy ones i'm going to paf. right now i'm doin Neverball/Neverputt, falling block game(tetris), and maybe Doom(depending on if anyone wants it).
That's open source? Please make it then.

XMoto is quite similar to Elasto Mania and I believe Patrick may have been working on that...

But they lied to me about a switch. But I'll talk to them again as I should post that.
how about game emulaters like ePSXe? i know they already work portably to an extent. i can carry ePSXe on my flash but every once in a while i cannot load the BIOS file, otherwise it works great and you can store your cd images on the flash as well, at leas as long as you have at least a gig or better.
just a note, does anyone know who made that project 64 launcher a while back?
Zoop
I'll go check.

A Basic PinBall Game would be nice also.
Whats wrong with Windows default game.
You can play it by typing C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Pinball\PINBALL.EXE into run under the start button.
If you want to make it portable just copy it to your usb. Because its windows default it will run on most window OS's.
Its always easier when you know how.
I'm not certain, but I think that Visual Pinball is more or less portable. I know that I've moved the install directory to another system and used it without problems, other than telling it where the tables directory is. It might be leaving garbage in the registry, though.
It's a pinball table construction program, there are hundreds of original and re-creation tables out there.

Looks outdated. The tables or forum all seem to have disappeared.
That's the original creator's site, he hasn't updated in awhile. You can get everything from here:

The program is outdated in that there is a newer pinball game, Future Pinball. I didn't mention it because it's a little hefty to run off a flash drive. I also don't know anything about its portability.

Please!
is it really open source ?
and Doom 2, if it's OSS of course.
I also like Cart games.
here is a nice small game called Planet Racer.
The game is portable since it's a single file, but your progress is saved locally in Temp.
can someone portablize this ?
Sometimes making love is just not enough, you have to step it up!

Hi, first I must tell you that I realy love your work. It's great. I use many app's. Second, I ask you when do we hawe a chess game portable?

Well the issue with freeware vs. gpl is the legal restrictions. some emulators like m.a.m.e. are free ware but the license forbids redistribution. others like snes are under gpl v2 license meaning you can repackage and distribute them so long as they remain free of charge. But one cannot distribute roms or files because those are copyrighted to death. I would do my own projects in here but most seem to be taken. so i just test the apps that come out and post feedback.
I'm already doing FreeCol Portable, and it needs testers.
I need suggestions for my next app, so suggest it and I'll take a look at it. I'd prefer open source, naturally, but freeware is fine by me.

Oolite is a re-imagining of the classic space-trading, combat simulator Elite. It's open source, and it rocks.
