I couldn't resist (although I think I used it on ezQuake too). Hopefully I haven't broken the rules![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
I'm glad to hear it all went well.
Thanks for getting this out. Things have popped up (bad net, RL problems etc.) and I don't think I can maintain it anymore... If you feel like doing anything with DLauncher, it's GPL![Wink](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/wink.gif)
*hands project to prapper*
But there’s no sense crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
Thanks for the official handover
Hope you get your stuff sorted out.
I wasn't sure whether ZDoom & GZDoom would be counted as the same app (I know you included GZDoom too). Even though I did GZDoom, I switched GL off as default (!) so I don't know what the advantage would be to include ZDoom as well?
DLauncher does work very well, maybe I'll take another look at it.
I've really got back into DOOM lately, mainly because I found your ZDoom 2.3.1 here on the forums, so thanks for that. I have all the games and add-ons from the mid-90s (I was old enough to know better even then!) Never got into the online thing though (didn't get the internet until 98, I think).
Skulltag is looking very tempting at the moment!
Thanks again![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)

I received this error message when trying to launch the latest development test. I haven't done any tweaks to the files just ran with your default setup. Also I checked in the iwads folder and G:\PortableApps\GZDoomPortable\App\IWADS\DOOM1.WAD is present.
The game does not launch from there.

I hate dem bugs!
The upgrade from DT1 to DT2 required a clean install so I expect you went straight from 1 to 3? Maybe?
Try a clean DT3 (rename the Data dir) and that should resolve it hopefully.
Clean install was all that was required :o
I really need to pay better attention to the release notes![Sad](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/sad.gif)

The images help too. As they say...

Or something![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
I don't know if this will hinder development, or if you all already knew, but a few months ago (very sorry, I can't find the link to the original discussion, I can check on my home computer later today.) the developer of GZDoom didn't take constructive criticism (and a few trolls) very well, threw a fit and pulled the plug on GZDoom, even deleting all the files.
However, if memory serves, one individual had saved most or all of them, and I think is still working on them.
But yeah, I can't get links right now, but I'll try later. I'm also sorry if this post was pointless. :/
[EDIT]
Here is the original post...
While they're a bit at fault for complaining about a free product without providing much constructive criticism (as far as I can tell), that was incredibly childish of him. Especially since the former will always happen.
And I'm pretty disappointed by it, since I started using GZDoom for about 3 or 4 months before he quit.
It's pretty ridiculous on both ends. Everyone was being so demanding when Graf (dev of GZDoom) was only doing it as a hobby, and he didn't have to quit out like he did though. There's always going to be trolls, and people who always just find fault with something. You just have to learn to deal with it.
Lol I'm going to end it here too, before I get into a rant.
What a depressing read. I guess we'll just have to see what (if anything) comes out of it. I got the impression he didn't *really* delete the files though.
Of course![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
AFAIK, some people still have the source.
But what they were saying is that the code was really buggy, and that they may had to start from scratch. And Graf still posts there, so I dunno.
We'll just have to wait and see. If Graf doesn't continue it, others may.![Wink](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/wink.gif)
I didn't read the entire thread, but while some claimed to have certain revisions of the source, I don't know what the most recent was. Did someone have the most recent?
I'm not 100% on what's been done, and what's currently been done.
However, I managed to find this page, which was on Graf's original page. (which is still up...confusing >.was talk of needing to just scrap it and start over...but here's the link anyway.

The home website link listed at the top of the first post is now a "we moved" place-holder that points to:
http://www.osnanet.de/c.oelckers/gzdoom/index.html
Not sure if that breaks the online-downloader or not. I had the app previously installed...
neutron1132 (at) usa (dot) com
Yes you are right, the website change,
but any way the online installation is still working.
I didn't understand why it outdate?
1. the link for download is working.
2. the online installation is working.
3. it the latest version on the website.
all this is for non outdated program.
some one can explain?
thanks,
Tal.
GZDoom is at 1.6.0 & it's included in ZDoom Portable. See the help for instructions on how to switch between the two.
where you can download GZDoom 1.6.0? in their website the latest version is 1.5.6.
and it not a good reason that GZDoom is include at other port.
for example:
cube is included in cube2 and other ported version,
but it on the release here at portableapp with cube2.
Tal.
drdteam

I think it o.k. even it included at other port.
