Anyone Know of a Portable App Internet Chat client that will let you send Screen Shots? Perhaps a plugin for Pigin, miranda or any of the other portable chat clients?

Thanks!

i know...

pidgion lets you send and recieve files without plug-ins so you would just have to save the screenshot as a file and send it to the other end!

Yes, and

Yup, and you can just use the Print Screen key to capture the whole screen or ALT-Print Screen to capture just the active Window and then paste it into your portable image editor (GIMP, for instance). Or you can use LightScreen:

Yeah

Seems a lot of people don't know about ALT-PrintScreen. That's one reason I could never understand why people were interested in screen capture programs. I was always thinking... well, you either want a window or the whole screen... and those are both built into Windows... and you already have an image editor if you want to edit them... so what's the point?

I think the reason people

I think the reason people want a screenshot program is more so they can save directly to a file, rather than having to open something like paint and then save it from there. Also, a lot of screenshot programs offer a "region" feature where you can highlight the area that you want captured.

Yeah

There's the Snipping Tool with Vista that does both of those, so obviously they are popular features.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm aware of these types of sollutions but was hoping for something a little more seamless. If you have ever used the chat client "Hello" you might know what I'm talking about. It lets you just click a few buttons and automatically sends a screenshot of a window or the desktop (whichever you specify). No cutting or pasting.

Thanks for the suggestions.
