Hi,
I am using the latest Firefox Portable. I open FirefoxPortable.exe and then it loads firefox.exe, which works fine. But I notice (in Process Explorer) that FirefoxPortable.exe closes after opening firefox.exe. Furthermore, when I close the Firefox Browser, firefox.exe still runs (as seen in Process Explorer) until I have to kill it.
I am on Windows XP and do have a standard version of Firefox as my default browser. I am not sure if this is causing the problem. Please help.

Some versions ago, that could happen cause if Firefox was installed, the Launcher didn't have to stick around.
Nowadays, I think the launcher keeps running.
Do you use the latest version downloaded from this site?
And you didn't use the built-in auto-updater?
If yes I don't know whats the matter. If no then please download and install the latest version from here and retry. The thing is that the auto updater messes with your local install.

Yes, I use the latest version. I did not use any auto-updater.
