I have been using TBP for quite a time on a USB drive as to now but, recently, I bought an external hdd which I parted in two : 1 part for my portable apps, the other one for my datas.
I copied/pasted my profile folders to their "new" direction (the second part, if you follow ... -;) ) and indicated this "new" path in the settings options of my TB.
Everything works fine as long as I use TBP from my ext HDD plugged on my personal laptop.
The pbm is ... the path is not relative ! And thus cannot be used/read/recognized on another PC !!!
Any idea anyone ?

And, how do you get windows to recognize a second partition on a removable drive? U3 does this by lying to the OS, claiming the first partition is really a CD. What are you doing?
I use a special driver that exposes other partitions on the Flash drive. External HDD's can have multiple partitions.
I have nothing to do, my partitions are recognized by the OS, no matter which one, they are "mounted" as a normal/usual drive.
The question is :
is there a way to edit the "local folder" line in the "account settings" of my TBP, so that I'm able to indicate it a relative path to my datas ?

First of all, the format that Mozilla apps use to store paths generally do not allow relative paths to be stored anyway, unfortunately.
But worse than that, as far as I understand it, your have two partitions, presumably each of them shows up as a separate drive letter.
If that is the case, then there is no possible way that you can have a relative path to a different drive.
There simply is no relative route from one drive to another - it would always require absolute knowledge of the second drive letter.
The best I can think of, off hand, would be a script similar to the launcher, that could find (or you could tell) the letter for your second partition, and that would do a launcher-like in-file edit to update the necessary paths in your TBP config files.
That's what I thought, and feared ...
I will then put both my datas and TBP on the same drive, it should work fine ...
