PNotes development team in the person of mine is proud to announce about version 4.0.100 (beta) of PNotes and 2.5.101 of PNSkinCreator. BTW, don't think this is an easy job to head the one person team - hot discussions, reproaches, personal insults and absolute lack of respect 
Well, what's new:
1. Search/replace capabilities (for all notes or for individual note)
2. Docking to any side of screen (each note can be docked/undocked individually or all notes can be docked/undocked). You may set custom appearance for docked notes. Sometimes it may look like such panel http://xmages.net/out.php/i10492_20080623222428.jpg.
3. Ability to randomize color of newly created skinless notes
4. Checking for new program version (automatically or manually)
5. Setting newly created note "on-top" is now optional
6. Options to hide/show toolbar on notes
7. Formatting commands (like at note's toolbar) added to note popup menu under "Format" submenu
8. Common note's font sample is now drawn at skin preview window
9. Days interval added to "pester" schedule type
10. Autosave will works only for changed notes
11. Ability to add any info to skin (up to 255 characters) and displaying this info at skin preview window
12. Support for vertical skin's toolbars
13. Bug fixed - tooltips are hidden for "on-top" notes
14. Bug fixed - status bar of Control Panel is not renewed on delete/new
15. Bug fixed - on some machines menus display squares instead of TAB characters
16. Bug fixed - command line switches -x, -xs don't work

Lamer, this new release is great. I didnt have time to do extensive testing, but everything seems to work fine. I'm a little confused about why there's a skins/font/background color settings section on the Docking tab tho. Doesn't make much sense to me to include that.
One feature request I do have is to make the standard text formatting hotkeys work, for example Ctrl+B = Bold, Ctrl+I = Italics, etc.

In order to make custom appearance for docked notes. It may be different from regular appearance.
Ctrl+B may work, but Ctrl+I just deletes selected text in RichEdit, it is RichEdit built-in hotkey (don't know why), so I decided not to include "partial" support.
I forgot to add lang file to archive, therefore some captions may be displayed incorrectly.

Only checks and displays a message. If you choose "OK" it will open download page in browser.
Does it support Firefox Portable?
(I think it should. Just give the ability to specify the path to the browsers exe and set some placeholders for the link to your page)

I think we have discussed it already in one of previous versions - just the matter was sending notes by mail. IMHO, portability principles are: to work with default browser of machine you are connected. Although it's possible to manually add path to specific browser and run the default one only if there is no such path. Let's see how many bugs will be found in order to make packet job.
I'll get a portable beta up pronto.
@lamer- is there anyway you could set the notes to start up hidden?

Yes. Hide them.
If you have "Show notes on startup" checked, then only visible notes will be shown, otherwise ("Show notes on startup" is unchecked) all notes will startup as hidden.
I suspect that in previous (current) version it does not work properly.

i.e. when you open new note, make it docked, but not save, decide to change program appearance from skinless to skinnable (or vice versa).
1. Added relational notes positioning (Preferences -> Behavior -> Relational notes positioning)

Added one more (third) parameter to -config or -conf command line switches.
The first two remained the same:
notes.ini file path and data directory path respectively.
The new one is the full program path (include name) which will be used for shortcut creation in startup folder if user will check autorun option.

Fixed bug with rolled note: if you create new note and without changing its size/position double click on caption and roll it, after the second double click (unrolling) note becomes 1 kilometer height

I started a new note, sized it bigger, and when I dock it to the right it resizes the note to the default (smaller) size. When you undock it then it reverts back to the new (bigger) size.
I made a smaller note and docked it and it made it the "default" size when it docked it when I undocked it then it reverted to the smaller size I made it.
Also, when docked, the roll/unroll feature doesn't work.
Q: When docking to the right, it doesn't just go to the right and keep the same Y-axis value (that is, just sliding it to the right), it goes to the upper right corner. Is this by design? [same question with top, left, bottom]

Well, it's not a bug - it's normal program behavior. Size of docked and undocked notes may be (or may be not) the same - but this is user only decision. He may want all docked notes to be 2 times smaller than undocked.
Roll/unroll should not work for docked notes as well. Otherwise docking gets broken.
And, yes, docking starts from the corner - how to implement sliding if you have, say, three or four partially overlapped notes?

I changed my preferences to make the notes 400 wide. Then I docked an existing note to the right and it disappeared. I dock all notes to the right and they all disappear. I undock all and they come back.

From right-clicking on the system tray icon I do a "Show All", "Docking (all notes)->Right", then did a "Hide All", then a "Show All" and all the notes are in their original undocked position.

PS: When you do a "Hide All" you see the notes reverting to their original position before being hidden so I think it's in that sub-routine where-in the anomoly lies.

Couldn't reproduce it. But while trying, have found another bug: create new note, without changing position or size dock and undock it - it jumps to the left upper corner (0, 0) and becomes small. Fixed.
It's "normal" behavior - unvisible notes stop to be docked, otherwise it's very difficult to manage docking hierarchy.

1. Notes don't react to clicks on "individual docking" items of control panel menu
2. Notes from version 3.5 may not be saved properly after docking

Fixed very rare bug: if you have fast users switching enable on XP, then after switching back to desktop with PNotes the notes' text disappears and you should select all text by Ctrl+A in order to force it to be visible. "close" and "hide" buttons disappear as well.
