I'm having trouble adding the flash extension here.
https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#plugins
Once I install it, the add-ons window pop-ups, And it's on the installation tab. But then as soon as the bar fills up the installation tab disappears. And It doesn't add the extension to firfox. This doesn't happen when I install other add-ons or extensions. I have no problem installing other add-ons or extensions, it's only this one. Anybody else having this problem with getting the flash player extension? Does anybody know how to help me get it?
I have the exactly same problem like yours.
Brandon,
Flash is not an Add-On/extension, it is a Plugin
Not all plugins are portable.
Not all plugin installers are portable "aware" and install on the host.
In the case of Flash you need to do it "manually".

Long story short, put these 2 files,
NPSWF32.dll and flashplayer.xpt
in this directory:
[x]:\PATH\PORTABLE\FirefoxPortable\Data\Plugins
If you had Flash on your FFP2 install they might be there.
If you had Flash on your local FF2 install they might be there.
Often questions like this have been asked before, you might find your answer faster by using the Search Bar function in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
in this case I searched for flash player and limited my search to the FFP forum

Hope this helps,
and again

Oh and in answer to your other question in the news story,
you never reposted the question as I asked,
but the answer is:
Tools->options->Advanced-Network-Offline storage
set to 0
to disable cache in FF3
I had a longer, better answer for you Sunday but it's at home

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Thanks Tim, works for me ,FF3 portable.
I feel like an dumbo asking all these questions.
Some people don't have a local installation of Firefox (or even installation privileges) in order to find the magical Flash plugin files.
Don't ask anyone for the two files you need because it's illegal to distribute them without the full installer. Fortunately, you can get the current version of the full installer directly from Adobe.
Once you have the installer, the simple solution for making it work with Firefox Portable can be found at the bottom of this post. There's some other handy info at the top of that same post (e.g., Flash is naughty!).

That's why I linked to the same Topic above

And why I linked directly to the meaningful comment hidden in the middle of that long topic.

See my latest post. 6/25/08
Everyone complained about the .xpi method since my days as a newbie so I never tried it again.
I was going to tell John to remove it and I thought, what's in that file???
Clicking of course tried to install (Bad), but right clicking got it to download (Good).
As a .xpi is only a zip in disguise, I looked inside and guess what I found
This is the new "SIMPLEST METHOD"

as indicated on the support page.
DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK ABOVE
DO A RIGHT CLICK, Save link as...

Too many lonely hearts in the real world
Too many bridges you can burn
Too many tables you can't turn
Don't wanna live my life in the real world
I tried that already. It doesn't work.
But I don't need the extension anymore. I followed some of the instructions above and got the flash plugin.
Thanks though!
