The last version of updater.ini is from 2008-07-25 and since then has been buggy (see here and here). With the new app versions from yesterday there are two more bugs: Neither WinSCP 4.1.6 nor FileZilla 3.1.0.1 show up in updater.ini.
So there are four apps now that won't be updated automatically. Please fix this issue, John.
Hopefully there will be a way that others (like Marko) will be able to change the updater.ini when necessary to avoid such delays.
It's not a bug, it just hasn't been updated. Keep in mind that the updater is a beta and completely disconnected from the process of app releases on the site (ie, it's totally manual). It'll get done but not always the same day as a release. Same way the auto-updaters in many apps can take a day or so to show an update.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Makes sense,
the updater is a beta and completely disconnected from the process
to me.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
I wouldn't have a problem when updating the database would take a day or so, but the delay is much bigger. It's 3 weeks now that VLC can't be updated automatically (this was a security update!), 18 days that Notepad++ can't be updated, and one week that WinSCP and FileZilla are out of sync, not counted the 5 days delay for Stellarium and JKDefrag.
I know you have a lot of tasks to do, but you don't have to update the database yourself. Create a way for Marko or someone else to update the updater.ini, so you can concentrate on other tasks.
To facilitate the update I prepared the parts that have to be exchanged or completed. You may just copy and paste it:
