No problem.
Na na na, come on!
I think this is the first time I tried the App but I immediately likes it vrey much. Makes it soooo much easier to take screenshots than using windows and paint
I noticed some things:
I think I saw something in your launchert that can make my PopMan launcher easier so thanks for that.
I think thats all

Delete Thumbs.db in Appinfo
I think thats suppose to be a windows file, but ok.
Acknowledgements in help file: Remove it or fill it with text.
Ah, I'll remove it.
The nsi file has your real name but the Readme.txt doesnt.
Umm ok.
Remove LightscreenPortable.nsi~ from /Other/Source folder
Sorry, that was from my ubuntu Sorry
Readme line 28 says: "The file archiver and the settings can be entirely self-contained on the drive and then used on any Windows computer." Do you mean that?
I think patrick made the readme i dont really remember.
Shouldnt lightscreen.ini be in the data folder?I think it is only used by the launcher so maybe call ir LightscreenPortable.ini like all the other Apps do.
I will move that then.
The ini has an entry "ScreenshotDirectory=Data\Screenshot" but the launcher doesnt use it. It put the value from the ini tinto a variable called SCREENSHOTDIRECTORY but overwrites it with the info from the registry. So it not used. Personally I think that this ini entry isnt necessary cause its so easy tochange it in the Lightscreen settings.
It's suppose to get the last path so you can still save the pictures in the same spot you had it last time on your flash drive.
We need people like you all the time. It helps alot.

Thumbs.db
Yes but it s cleaner if it doesn't distribute the file with the installer.
LightscreenPortable.nsi~
I know the problem - I have Kubuntu
Lightscreen ini
Yes I know. I am not talking about the ini you save it to but about the ini in /Other/Source.
In /Other/Source, there is an ini one can use to change the folder names, disable the splash screen etc. If I copy it to the main folder, and change the path I want Lightscreen to store the screenshots ("ScreenshotDirectory=Data\Screenshot"). But now, the launcher is built to read this into the variable SCREENSHOTDIRECTORY. But after that, the variable is overwritten on line 228 so no matter what I put into the ini file, it gets overwritten from the registry by what was saved from the last run.
So in order to get it to work, I'd reverse it so first it gets the Screenshot directory from the registry and then it overwrites it with what was in the ini IF there is one. That way you make sure that whatever was used on last run, now you use the entry from the ini. IN addition to that I'd change the default ini entry to the same the Launcher gives on first run (Documents/Pictures)
And on line 238, the launcher checks for Documents/Music - I think it should check for /Documents/Pictures.

I dont think i could get it to work in reverse.

is good now on Win XPSP3. Just remove the PortableApps.comInstallerCustom.nsh from /Other/Source cause its optional and not needed. ( I know you already did after IRC but I wanted to mention it anyway).

I've just tried Pre-release 2 on vista ultimate sp1. The program itself seems to run good, but the save directory showed up simply as "G" in the options menu (which happens to be the drive letter of my thumb drive), and the pictures are saved in "g:\portableapps\lighscreenportable\g" rather then in "g:\documents\pictures" like I was expecting.
Can anyone else check this problem on that os?
For everyone else, they dont seem to have this problem.
This tells me that you dont have "DRIVE:\Documents\Pictures"
But according to that code above, it should have made the save directory DRIVE:\
Try a complete reinstall (delete the whole LightscreenPortable folder and reinstall). See if that helps.

Sorry I took so long to respond, I was stuck on a shift that ended at midnight and I didn't bring my testing thumb drive with me to work.
I did like you suggested and tried a clean install from a fresh download (since my firefox was acting strange when I downloaded it originally on Saturday afternoon), and it worked without problem this time.
it saved to g:\documents\pictures (where g: is my thumb drive) like it should have.
It also ran alot faster then it did before I tried the clean install, so I guess it appears to have been a bad upgrade.
I've verified that it works right with the cleanup when using the root directory as your save point.
And I'll be sure the installer handles upgrades right on release. Barring any objection, I think I'll push this out today or tomorrow.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Glad to see that it finally works for ya.
Na na na, come on!
It was just brought to my attention that the 0.5 checks for updates, can this be turned off?
Simeon mentioned that it set off his firewall
Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
No, i dont think so.

Some last minute comments:
Keep up the good work!
I've been busy with IRC Bots, IRC server issues, and etc....
