Disable Splash Screens?

Is there any way to disable the splash screens? I understand that for some there's useful information that scrolls by, but for the most part it just seems like shameless marketing and I find it unnecessary.

Thanks!

@Josh

Yes there is.

Copy the file "[AppName]Portable.ini" located in "[AppName]Portable\Other\Source\" to the "[AppName]Portable" directory.

The splash screens are not intended for marketing, they are an indicator to the user that the application has been started. In some cases, the portable apps load a bit slower than a local app would.

In the future, please search our forums before posting, as often you will find your answer much more quickly if the topic has been discussed.

As often as this topic is discussed, I think adding an option to the menu to disable all splash screens would be a good idea. Also, maybe making this information more readily available would be useful, like in the included Help file, or on the General Portable App Support page.

Thanks! Found it all! I

Thanks! Found it all! I agree that an overall configuration to disable all splash screens would be handy. It would save some of us alot of initial work.

Sorry for not searching, and thanks for the welcome Smile
