Hi Forum,
is there a way to shutdown pidgin by a "not documented" command line option?
For example i use "skype.exe /shutdown" to shutdown skype.exe from a batch file (WinXP Prof. SP3). Is there something similar avalable?
Best regards

There is no such switch. Are you trying to do this with the portable version or the local version? And why would you want to shutdown via batch file?
Hi,
i want to use it for my pidginPortable.
Why is want to do this:
I have a batch file to close all programms that are running from my usb stick (skype, pidgin, portableapps menu, unmount my truecrypt volume...). This batch file is called when i request a removal of my usb stick (windows function extendet by USBDLM).
You may want to ask the pidgin developers, either on IRC or in a trac ticket. I'm not sure if the ability is there.
You could try this command-line
taskkill /IM /F
I want to shutdown the application (normal program termination) - the application should write it´s data to the harddisk / usb stick as normal, before the app is terminated. Taskkill is no option to me.
Hi,
where can i place my feature request?
Best Regards

Request this a http://pidgim.im, in their development section, in Trac. That part of their site has been down for about a week now, so you will have to wait until it comes back up.
