JkDefrag Portable 3.34 Released

JkDefrag logoJkDefrag Portable 3.34 has been released. It's an easy to use disk defragmenter and optimizer packaged as a portable app so you can defragment and optimize your hard drives on the go. It has all the same great features of JkDefrag and it includes a custom, easy-to-use interface to give you more control while still keeping everything simple. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Suite. And it's open source and completely free.

Thanks for this small GUI! I was using the extension JkDefragGUI - is it also portable?
but your GUI is even smaller! And I see that your GUI isn't in polish yet, so I translate this language file for you. A little language changer in the GUI would be not bad...

thanks. yeah i figured there would be other desired languages so i made it where you can just edit the en-US ini file yourself to change the language

I was using this app already but it always nice to have a PortableApps wrapper, makes everything a lot cleaner.

One minor issue is that the column headings seem to disappear after about 5 seconds (using WinXP). Anyone else run into this?

Also the first time I ran it, it seemed to auto analyze, curiously also after about 5 seconds I think.

it's not a big deal but it might confuse some inexperienced users.

hm... that's weird. neither I or all the people that tested it in the long time it was beta have ever run into those issues. we'll see if anyone else ever reports that but so far you're the only one.

This is a great program, but it doesn't recognize my flash drive (the one that it's installed on). Is there a tweak or something I need to make it recognize it?

well you actually shouldn't defrag your flash drive but if you insist on it then instructions can be found under "Support" on the JkDefrag Portable homepage

Good work on this one, especially on the GUI!
Its another nice Utility to have.

Like the GUI, but could you add the other options? I like to use the sort by name method (-a 7)now and then for games, and if I'm not blind it's missing Smile

Nice app, I've been looking for something with a gui of what it was doing (Vista defrag sucks for this reason).
Just curious though, what about a color code system like the XP defrag tool?

the colors on the program are unchangeable unless you rebuilt it from its source. I might be wrong though.
