... the help file is in english.

But it seems that som locale settings are broken, cause in the German forum we get some hints about extension issues (localised befor 17 and english only sice the updates for 17 an 18).

Paid for Software more or less?
What You need is OSS!

The helps files for all releases of TB have always been in English. The extension issue could not be reproduced in my testing nor did it make any sense logically since the installer and launcher don't mess with extensions.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

nice software and that Free. you are Great.
Efharisto ( Thank you)

When useing thunderbird, I set it as my default email client.
But, It set the thunderbird.exe as the entry menu in my xp start menu which I surely don't want.
I am wondering if someone could make a change to this.

A good man.

Hi there

love the apps, but can someone tell me how i can change the fonts of sunbird and thunderbird

at the moment the default font for all the buttons is some awful attempt at joined up writing.

can someone please tell me how to change this, as its unusable for me at the moment.

Thanks in advance

in sunbird advanced user content: goto tools/options/advanced/aboutconfig, search for font.default.x-yyy (yyy can be UTF8) you can change the one fontname for your
default setting eg utf8 from serif to Times New Roman or else -> I don´t recommand messing with the about:config unless you have a backup of your data folder and at least know what you are doing! I have some doubt about That...
thunderbird: tools/options/view/formatting-fonts and coding

Perhaps there´s a corruption in your apps that they don´t show the fonts correctly or is it just the font that annoys you?

thanks for the response

This seems to be an issue when using wine to run the app.

It seems ok on windows. Its not the font of the text for writing emails and such, its the font for the icons at the top of the screen (i.e get mail, write, address book) thats the problem.

and any text inside menus and such.

gonna test it with ubuntu+wine this evening and come back..
AFAIK simeon uses wine with linux, he never reported this problem.Anybody else can confirm?
So, till later..
I´m back:
ubuntu 8.10,installed on a winxpsp3 with wubi.exe, newest stable wine:
no fonts issue, looks pretty good, perhaps time to change your linux settings/distribution?
