I upgraded and tried to run it and it crashed. I installed it on a clean place, crashed again. The previous version was working (2.4.0)

As always, please post a detailed bug report in the other apps support forum. Include operating system, install path, anything else running, etc.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

there is no error log in gnucash, and no error message is shown. just crashes.

I am using windows vista. There are many programs running. Install path is PortableApps/GnuCashPortable. Everything is clean and on default state, I run everything portable.

I will wait for next release.

After upgrading to 2.4.2 GnuCash did not start.
1. Workaround:
Moved whole folder one level up to D:\GnuCashPortable
Worked fine.
2. Workaround:
Started in D:\Programs\GnuCashPortable with admin rights (application asked for it in order to set up registry entries to avoid conflicts with portable devices ...?). Started and worked fine.

Thereafter no further problems!

HMMM What a coincidence; I posted virtually the same thing in the Support Forum on last Thursday evening.
