Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition 3.5.17 Legacy Released

Mozilla Firefox_®, Portable Edition 3.5.17 (Legacy Edition) has been released in 17 languages. It's the current Mozilla Firefox browser from the older 3.5 release bundled with a PortableApps.com launcher as a portable app, so you can take your browser, bookmarks, settings and extensions on the go. It's primarily intended for web page testers as standard users are encouraged to upgrade to the current Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition 3.6 release as the 3.5.x series is now discontinued. This release will install alongside a current Firefox Portable install in a FirefoxPortableLegacy35 directory by default. New in This Release

In this release, Firefox has been updated to 3.5.17 (release notes) and will now install to a FirefoxPortableLegacy35 directory by default. The install path can be changed during install to FirefoxPortable if desired.

Auto-Update Issue

If you allow Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition to auto-update, some non-personal files may remain on the local PC. This will be addressed in a later release.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.
