Please create a forum post in here with more details. Can you provide some more information like exact install location, any antivirus/etc running, whether you ran it as admin or not, whether it is a fresh install or an upgrade (some older profile sets still seem to not work with the current version), etc. It works fine for me on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, for instance.

Oh, and try creating a directory called Temp inside your GnuCashPortable\Data folder if it isn't already there.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I had previously done a fresh install of 2.4.2 and received the same problem. I added the Temp directory per instructions and it is fixed. Could a check for this directory and creation if not found be added?

reverting back to 2.4.2

It's not what you know, its what you can prove.

sorry did not read your post John. Now it works after creating the Temp Dir.

Revision 2 has been posted which will ensure that the GnuCashPortable\Data\Temp directory exists on upgrades. The launcher will create this file automatically on first run of new installs (or installs that are reset by deleting the Data directory), but the original release was not properly creating the directory. If you manually copy an old profile into this new release, be sure to create the Temp directory as well. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused.

When using the PAM 2.0 beta and clicking upgrade this file hangs at 83334kb. Has anyone else had this issue?
