logoMcAfee Stinger Portable 10.2.0.912 has been released. McAfee Stinger removes 6,000 common viruses and 'fake alert' malware on-demand. It is not a replacement for a full antivirus, but handy in many situations. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. McAfee Stinger is freeware for business and personal use.

SourceForge was down today - not quite sure how long - but I know it was down about 3 hours before shehaal's post and I believe it was still unavailable 3 hours later. I'm not sure when SourceForge came back on-line (went out of the house for a while)

I am guessing that SourceForge's outage is related to this problem.

I'm getting an error when trying to install McAfee String. The error is:

The downloaded copy of Stinger is not valid and can not be installed. Please try again.
