McAfee Stinger Portable 10.2.0.915 has been released. McAfee Stinger removes 6,000 common viruses and 'fake alert' malware on-demand. It is not a replacement for a full antivirus, but handy in many situations. This release updates to the latest version and fixes some portability issues. Subsequent releases that only announce minor virus definition updates will not be announced on the homepage but will be pushed out via the PortableApps.com Platform Updater. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. McAfee Stinger is freeware for business and personal use.

Still Not Stealth
You're missing LEGACY keys in XP.
In your Custom.. you mis-spelled "Stinger.sys" as "Singer.sys".
but atleast you got most of it..

i know it's set to delete after a reboot from the name "Deleteme" and regkey..
but for a portableapp. . is that kosher?
i would atleast pop a message to let the user know..
so the user would not forget & that the developer is aware ..
if it was me.. i would just delete it..

When a new version is released, the downloader will fail until we update it.

i still have 10.2.0.910 because every time i update it the platform says there is some kind of error should i just download it and update it manually?

It should be working right now. If it doesn't, please post a note with the exact error message.

"The downloaded copy of Stinger is not valid and can not be installed. Please try installing again." and that happened when i downloaded the .paf directly from the page and manually installing, the same thing happened when i was updating from the platform.

This will happen whenever the app is updated and we have not yet updated our package, generally a few hour window.
install failure
I today tried to install. Installer tries to download stinger.exe twice, but both times this results in an invalid download :(. So installing is not possible.
Please check, I would like to try-out stinger this way

FYI: I tried to install yesterday (on another computer, same USB) also, resulting in the same problem. So an update within a few hours didn't seem the problem? I haven't installed Stinger before.
