Both Work Here
Just double-checked and both work as expected here. Be sure you're not blocked from downloading Java. If that works, place it in the same directory as jPortable_7_Update_15_online.paf.exe.
I downloaded this into the
I downloaded this into the same folder.
I even ran the paf as Administrator.
I get the same error and the installation halts there. I can just Cancel.
I found the core.zip file in the temp folder and I was able to open it with 7zip and test it - says OK. Then why the installers has problems with it?
Install Location
The other possibility is that your install location has different permissions under NTFS. Sounds like this is something specific to your machine or setup as the download and installer are fine.
Please create a new topic on the Other Apps support forum with your install location, operating system, whether it is a new install or upgrade, what type of format the drive is (NTFS, ExFAT, Fat32), any antivirus that is running, etc.
I deleted /Java inside
I deleted /Java inside PortableApps/Common files.
Then it installed correctly.

Security Risk
Older versions of Java have security issues. You can disable the Java browser plugin with this: https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/jportable-browser-switch
Security Risk
If I disable the Java Browser plugin I can´t access the page. Can´t you at least make avaiable the last stable version to downgrade the app?
All AVailable
They're all available. But if you use one version back, you will be quite vulnerable. Use it on a specific site you trust while visiting no other sites and then immediately disable it again.
