FreeFileSync Portable 6.0 Rev 2 (synchronize files and folders) Released

logoFreeFileSync Portable 6.0 Rev 2 has been released. FreeFileSync helps you synchronize files and synchronize folders. This release fixes an issues with settings being moved improperly and hidden. It's packaged in Format so it can easily integrate with the Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Update automatically or install from the portable app store in the Platform.


ScreenshotFreeFileSync lets you both compare and synchronize files and folders. It supports copying of locked files (Volume Shadow Copy Service), symbolic link support, NTFS permissions syncing, long paths, multiple configurations and jobs, and lots more.

FreeFileSync Portable is packaged in a Installer so it will automatically detect an existing installation when your drive is plugged in. If you used 6.0 (pre Rev 2), your settings should be back where you expect them once you update to this new version. If you used 6.0 as a clean install, you may need to move them. If your settings aren't there, move the GlobalSettings.xml and *_ffs_* files from the App\FreeFileSync directory to the Data\settings and Data\ffs directories respectively.
