GIMP logoGIMP Portable 2.10.6 Rev 2 has been released. GIMP Portable is the full-featured GIMP image and photo editor bundled with a PortableApps.com launcher as a portable app, so you can edit your photos and images on the go. This revision fixes an error in the build process where the older version of GIMP was accidentally included. The GIMP Portable Photoshop Layout add-on is also available. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. Best of all, it's open source and completely free.

GIMP itself creates this folder if it doesn't exist since it is set to check the platform's font directory. It's a new weird behavior by GIMP. For the majority of users the directory already exists. You can manually change your gimprc file to remove it if you'd like. Please confine support requests to the forums in the future, not comments on a news story.
