Iron Portable 52.0.2750.0 (web browser) Released

Iron Portable 52.0.2750.0 has been released. SRWare Iron is 'The browser of the future' - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - but without some features that privacy advocates object to. This release updates to the latest version and fixes an issue preventing manual language selection. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

Iron is packaged for portable use with permission from SRWare.

As with all Chrome/Blink-based browsers, Iron 51 and later drops support for Windows XP and Vista

CrystalDiskInfo Portable 7.0.2 (disk health monitoring) Released

CrystalDiskInfo Portable 7.0.2 has been released. CrystalDiskInfo monitors HDD/SSD health status and temperature, and does all the usual monitoring/graphing of S.M.A.R.T. information. It also tells you how many times the hard disk has been turned on and how many hours it's been on for. It's packaged in PortableApps.com Format so it can easily integrate with the PortableApps.com Platform. And it's open source and completely free.

PortableApps.com is proud to announce that PortableApps.com Installer 3.4.1 has been released. The PortableApps.com Installer allows you to quickly package your portable apps in an easy-to-use installer without having to write or compile any code. This release fixes an issue with the format not being updated for some apps. Version 3.4.x adds support for a second downloadable file in live installers (great for 32-bit + 64-bit dual mode apps), upgrades the bundled NSIS to 3.0 final, and adds high DPI support to the installer generator wizard. The PortableApps.com Format Specification has been updated to 3.4 to accommodate the second download. The PortableApps.com Format Specification and installer are available for outside developers to use and can be used freely with free open source and freeware applications. Commercial use is available by contacting PortableApps.com.

The Still version is the older branch of LibreOffice maintained with bug fixes. It's recommended that most users use LibreOffice Portable. And it's open source and completely free.
