Linking MimeTypes to PortableApps

Hello,

I am looking for a way to change the programs that TBP offers to open an attachment with to a PortableApp.
I was searching around and just trying some placeholders for the driveletter (manipulating mimeTypes.rdf with an editor) did not work either.

Is there any way to tell TBP, that the program to be used is on the same driveletter as TBP itself (because it is a Portable App as well)? Is there any placesholder to be used in mimeTypes.rdf?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot,
Jan

Automatic

It's automatic. Just set it up in Thunderbird itself as you normally would. You can create a mimetype by opening a file. You can edit it in Tools - Options - Attachments - View and Edit Actions. The launcher will automatically adjust your paths for you.

Side Note: Links are not a mimetype, Thunderbird will only open the default browser when you click a link (http, ftp, etc) in an email.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
