AddressBook - Thunderbird portable ( Cannot move contacts )

I do not know, if it is a feature or a bug: I have several address books in my Thunderbird. When I organize my addresses and drag and drop a contact from one addresbook to another, it copies it instead of moving it. It works normally ( move ) on my not Portable Thunderbird.

Another question: Is there a way ( add on ? ) to make a search in more than one addressbooks ? ( the search looks only in one addressbook, and I would like to make the search through all of them )

Another question: Is there a way ( add-on ) to search through addressbooks and looking for a specific content in any field ?

Can't Reproduce

I can't reproduce this issue on a standard install of Thunderbird Portable, so I'd guess it's something specific to your profile (which could happen on a local install, too). Check to ensure nothing is read-only file-wise within your profile (ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile directory). If that doesn't help, search around the standard support sites (mozillaZine.org, etc) as this is a Thunderbird issue or setting. It could be an advanced setting I'm unfamiliar with.

As for your other two questions, they're more general Thunderbird questions... not portable related... and I don't know of any extensions that would fit the bill. Searching for addons.mozilla.com or asking in mozillaZine.org's forums would be your best bet.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Version

You are right, finally I have figured, that I had Thunderbird Portable Version 1.5.0.14. And the issue is exist there. After I updated, it works correctly. ( The case is that I have made the installation from the Standard Package what you have on site and that package contains the 1.5.0.14 version of Thunderbird. )

I really appreciate these portable solutions what you have on site. Thanks a lot!! If I would known it earlier it would saved me days ( of reinstall )
