Tile World Portable 1.3 Development Test 2

Name: Tile World - Web Site

Category: Games

About:

Tile World is a reimplimentation of the classic game 'Chip's Challenge', originally written for Atari Lynx and later ported to Windows. It's a small game where you pass through levels by collecting 'chips' through each level while avoiding enemys, elements, etc.

Download:

Download Tile World Portable 1.3 Development Test 2

Notes:

As the base set of levels is small, I will be adding an installer for the 'Chip's Challenge Level Pack 2' later on, or you can place the chips.dat in your games directory if you own it, or download more user created level sets from the Yahoo group found on the web.

Thanks, and enjoy.

Development Test 2:

-Changed a couple URLs, removed splash fade, nothing big.

Yay! Its back. This is a great game.

Edit: Just tested, everything seems to be up to par with PAF format, nothing is left behind at all, and its just an overall great game.

Works good

I tried it before I left for work this morning, and it seems to work well.

Keep up the good work

Yeah

But it was using an outdated splash, so I just threw it back into development test back in January for the time being.

Nice

Seems to work nice. Is it possible to do a German translation? If yes, tell me how (I'm working with people with little or no knowledge of English language).

Could you update the date of your original posting so one can see it's not outdated?

Umm

I was thinking about this. There's some program out there. ChipEdit? One second... Well, there's CCEdit and Chip's Workshop. I'm sure you could change the language of the level with that.

And yeah, I'll update it. - I lied, don't think I can change dates on forum posts.

game/screen resolution ...

did it used to be at a higher resolution? For some reason, I thought I could see more of the game screen.
Hmmm, maybe I and remembering different analogues of the game.

Development Test 2 works with vista

I've just tried development test 2 on vista ultimate sp1 and it seems to work well and leaves nothing obvious behind.

I do not understand

why you make a Software portable that already is?
And because you do not use the original directory structure not all levelsets will work. I just deleted it.
