Looking for a media player

I have VLC Media Player Portable, but it isn't quite what I'm looking for. I use PortableApps on my portable hard drive and I keep all of my music and videos on the drive. I'd like to have a portable media player program that is able to maintain a media library on the drive rather than have to direct it to my music every time.

I was thinking that WinAmp portable would be a possibility, but it seems like that is against the terms of use on WinAmp... so that's out of the question. Are there any alternatives availible? Thanks for the help!

(Also, first time poster, long time user/reader. I LOVE the PortableApps software, thanks to everyone who contributes to it!)

Songbird!

try songbird
www.songbirdnest.com

there's like 10 topics here already about songbird and with a little bit of tweaking the the launcher, you can get it to show up in the PAM

https://portableapps.com/node/2020
https://portableapps.com/node/11199
https://portableapps.com/node/1018
any many others
https://portableapps.com/search/node/songbird

the launcher download link is here
http://www.mediafire.com/?9myjrmo22mj

to get songbird to show up in the PAM install the launcher to
X:\PortableApps\songbirdPortable
then install songbird .4 to that location

I think there was a little more but as of now i don't remember it
if i find any more i will edit this to reflect that

even if that doesn't work you can always make a shortcut to songbird.exe and open it from there

Lead, Follow, or get out of the way.

iTunes can be made portable.

iTunes can be made portable. Just install it to the portable device. Can't guarantee the best response time from the program though. Songbird is still in Beta so using that works, but seems illogical considering you will have to uninstall/reinstall whenever they come out with a new Beta version of Final Release. Perhaps check out MediaMonkey at http://www.mediamonkey.com

Check

here, if some of this fits your request...

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin
