Starter is a startup manager, that allows you to view and manage all the programs that are starting automatically whenever Windows boots. It lists all the hidden registry entries, as well as the common Startup Folder items as well. You can choose to safely disable selected entries, edit them or delete them altogether (if you know what you re doing). Expert users can even add their own entries. Nice interface, easy to use, no documentation though (but hardly needed).

Did you see T just posted a portable version of Startup Manager in the beta testing forum?
Yes but everyone has a preference to a particualr program. Some like using MSConfig, some like StartUpLie, others prefer Autoruns, etc. I just think this app is better than others I have used.
Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with Windows.
But it's freeware, where Startup Manager is open source. They also both seem generally comparable.
I agree preferences differ. But one of the things I like about PortableApps is that it offers the best of the best of a certain application group. And having 2 of the best is also okay maybe. Hopefully we don't end up with 3 or more apps of the same kind.
It's always useful to explore different options.
I have looked at StartUp Manager, and I like it. But like I said, we all have our preferences. I will try his app for awhile. If I don't like it, I can live with just installing Starter directly to my portable device. I don't necessarily need it in PAF Format or with a Launcher.
