Hey Folks
I got a tip to stop flash ads automatically playing by adding to the userChrome.css
but their is several directories named chrome in the portable install, I think I copied it into all of them, but it still seems to of had no effect..
which one is actually used?
the addition to the userChrome.css is:
/* Block Flash, using a placeholder you can click to unblock a desired Flash animation. */
/* Doesn't work for embed tags, which are less common than object tags - bug 190970 */
object[classid$=":D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"],
object[codebase*="swflash.cab"] {
-moz-binding: url("http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~jruderma/flash.xml#obj"); }
any hints?

why don´t You use the noscript extension http://noscript.net/ for FF?

"May The Schwartz be with You!" Yogurt the Yoda
It IS a great extension and can block/unblock other plug-ins as well.
"NoScript, it's not just for scripts anymore"
But I like seeing the OPs code, good for reference.
Looking for the file now, back shortly
{Edit: Here you go
x:\...\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile\chrome\userChrome.css
Test and see if it works,
and Toby, welcome to PortableApps.com

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
this could be useful? http://www-csli.stanford.edu/~hinrich/block-flash.html

But that's fairly permanent.
Toby thinks his code will allow him to "click and run" on demand.
