Crashes with newly installed TB

Hello,

I recently upgraded TB on my USB Flash. I now have repeated crashes, especially when I try to access the Junk folder. I also noticed that it takes more time for TB to "build the summary" for folder I don't use often and try to access.

Has anyone encountered and fixed these bugs?

Thank you

Noci

Corruption

This is often due to corruption on the drive. First, be sure to never unsafely eject. Next, run chkdsk on your drive (you can right-click it in Explorer, select Properties, select the Tools tab then Check For Errors). Next open your profile folder and delete your current index files. They'll be within ThunderbirdPortable\Data\profile\mail. Delete the files *.msf within the directories. Then relaunch TB and click on each folder one at a time to let it rebuild the summary files.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thank you John. I have tried

Thank you John. I have tried all what you said but the problem still persist. Another problem I have is that sometimes TB does not recognize my dictionaries. For example I would send 2 or 3 messages in French and it works but after it does not recognize the language anymore.

With the previous version of TB, it was good though.

Thanks,

Nicolas
