Paths - Part 2

I read a very small thread about the paths used with Thunderbird Portable, but it was from 2006, so I'm hoping some additonal information has surfaced. Using TB (2.00.12)...

Since plugging in a portable drive (USB) will not net you the same drive letter, from computer to computer, I've noticed that some stings (under about.config) do not update the drive letter to match that of the USB at the time. For example,

Mail.root.none
Mail.root.pop3
Webmail.logging.commc.FileLocation
Mail.server.server1.directory

Should not the paths listed in 'about.config' point to the drive letter assigned to the USB at that time? Is this a bug with TB, or is there some configuration/setting that needs to be adjusted?
