SPYWARE IN MY USB DRIVE

I apologize if it's in wrong section. My mom's computer got attacked with spy ware and she have bunch of pictures she doesn't want to lost. Lucky I had my usb drive with me, so I load the pictures in it and I reinstalled window XP. Everything look like a factory setting which was so great. Then I unload the pictures off my usb drive to my mom's computer. Spy ware attacked again. It's obviously it was in my usb drive. How can I clean the spyware in my usb drive? I have millions college documents in it and can't afford to lose.

Install ClamWin Portable On It And Scan Your Drive.
Then Scan The Computer.

Unless ClamWin Cant Remove Spyware . I Think It Can

Na na na, come on!

i would...

i would install spyware doctor starter edition on the pc, scan your drive, then uninstall it and put on something like windows defender for future protection. the more spyware scanners you use the better chance you have at catching everything but that should get most of it.

DO NOT use Windows Defender.

DO NOT use Windows Defender. It's a resource hog and gets rather poor detection rates. Spybot, Adaware, SpySweeper, the full version of Spyware Dr. are all pretty good though.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

Spyware

Try Spybot Search & Destroy. It's not Open Source, but it's freeware. Good luck!

If possible, find a way to

If possible, find a way to back up the documents on your flash drive, and reformat the drive. Also, if you post the specifics of the spyware/virus being detected, or do a google search for information about what was detected, there may be tools specific to removing that particular malware.

Get Live CD

Get a Knoppix or Ubuntu live cd. Burn one of those to a cd. Boot the PC with it (insert the disk before shutting down and then reebot). You should boot into a live Linux system that is immune to that kind of spyware. Get a clean media to record the info that matters to you. Erase everything inside the drive and then there it is.

Hope to have helped

Install AV

Or, while you're in Knoppix/Ubuntu (I prefer Ubuntu), install an AV and scan the computer/usb drive.

I understood about spy bot

I understood about spy bot and etc to protect computer, but the point is about my usb drive. I will do the scan on drive F which my usb drive is currently and hopeful it cleans up before unload pictures to her computer. Thanks for your time.
