first of all, to answer your question, 2.2.5 has been in pre-release testing since a few days after the new version came out, and you can get the test version at https://portableapps.com/node/13081 if you want it. The final release is due out within the next couple of days, though, if you prefer to wait.
Also, can I suggest that you use the search box in the top right corner, since searching for gnucash 2.2.5 would have found you that answer without having to wait.
Finally, just so you know for future, it is considered bad practice here to ask when updates to apps will be released. The developers give their time voluntarily, and have a lot of other commitments as well as updating the "latest" app that you or I may want. They are almost always aware that a new version is out, are almost always already working on it, and almost always will get it out as soon as they can
The pre-release version is here. Last I heard John was planning to release it today.
