A better question is how many digits of PI actually matter?
For example, what level of precision is needed to calculate the circumference of the biggest circle you could fit into the (visible) universe, to an accuracy of measurement down to, say, the diameter of a hydrogen atom? And the answer may be smaller than you'd think

know I was just about to work this out, but given that the universe is thought to be expandung, what to I take to be its diameter?
well it was specified that it should be the biggest circle that can exist in the VISIBLE universe, so I don't think the issue of expansion matters in this case.

that the most distant object ever observerd is in the region of 14 billion light years away, so that would be a good figure to take as a radius.

I figured it like these, please tell me if I am wrong
Radius of an atom = 5.00E-11
Radius of the universe = 1.32E+26
Taking Pi as 3 calculates the size to three value (792E+24) To get to minus eleven we need another thirty five digits, plus the original 3 makes thirty six
Like I said, not really that many digits, when you think about how many million digits people have spent computer time calculating it to....

If you could find an exact number of registered users and the average number daily guest visits and and the average number of users registering daily, you could do some number work to create some pretty impressive growth figures.
If you guys were ever interested you could use this maybe as one of the many selling points for PA for a grant or something? Not to turn it into a commercial enterprise (I pray you always stay free and open)but to find funding to expand. Maybe buy permissions to port certain apps or other stuff.
Maybe something to think about?
