one statement...

Use the Print Screen Button!!!! there is a little button on your keyboard labled something like PrtSc or PrntScr, press that and then go into something like Paint or GIMP and paste with the edit menu or Ctrl+V. i dont see the point in an app for this when we can already do it without one.

As explained the last time

As explained the last time you complained about a screenshot app, these apps can save directly to a file, rather than requiring the user to open up Paint or some other image editing program to save the file. It's quicker and fewer steps.

Sometimes convenience > necessity.

I use the Quickshot app

I use the Quickshot app available from Imageshack. It can take a screenshot, upload it to imageshack, and copy the url to view it to the clipboard, all with one hotkey press. It took a little tinkering but I got it to work portably. One thing to consider though, is that it saves a copy of every screenshot so if you are limited on space or worried about to many write cycles this may not be for you.

Greenshot can't run on any computer so it's not very "portable"

Greenshot requires the .NET framefork so it can't run on any computer
