Moving settings, what's the best way?

So a long time ago I had FF2 installed on my computer, and then I saw the portable test version of FF3, back in beta 2. I thought it looked cool, wanted to try it out, but didn't want to destroy my FF2 just in case, so I installed the portable version, started completely fresh (didn't bring over the bookmarks or anything; they tend to clutter), and never looked back.

Now here I am with portable FF3rc2, and it's time I faced the music; I'm never going back to FF2. But the FF2 installation is where some third-party add-ons download too, and if I don't already have a FF window open, a link will bring up the older version. I've decided to just install the full version of FF3rc2, but I want to bring everything on my portable version (plugins, extensions, even the sometimes cluttery bookmarks) with me, and I want to get rid of anything I had left over from my FF2 days.

What's the best way to do this? What specific folders do I find and move over, or is there an option I haven't seen?

Thank you!

Extensions...

that you have for FF2 may not work in FF3, so when you move the "Profile" folder from X://"whatever"/Firefox Portable/Data/Profile to the C://whatever/whatever/Application Data/Mozilla/Data/Profile, you will have everything, but some extensions may not work.

XP and Vista follow slightly different paths, but a search for the "Mozilla" or "Firefox" folder for a locally installed Firefox will find it for you.

If you keep your browser open, the Portable version will handle most external links and Thunderbird can be told to use whatever Portable Firefox you want for email links with Thunderbrowse. I don't install FF anymore, I just use the portables.
