Umm...
i LOVE all things portable apps and all, but why is it that the download for firefox 3 is 8.0 mb for the portable version, but only 7.1 for the pc version? Does the PC version compress better perhaps?

First let me say that I don't know the answer to your question
But here's some thoughts while we wait for an answer.
Rounding, our package is actually a little smaller than 8MB there's is a little bigger than 7.1
My current "other" directory and the launcher added together take up about 350kb.
That brings us to c. 7.55 MB
The installer itself adds to the download size of the package.
I'm sure someone will correct my simplistic explanation.
But basically "our" package contains everything in "their" package plus .89 MB to install it and make it work portably.
