Rename firefox.exe

Hi!
I have a little problem: We have a computer room in our school and we often use it. But I can't use Firefox because a special software recognizes the process "firefox.exe" and kills it. So I want to rename "firefox.exe" to "fire.exe". It works, but i can' open Firefox from the menu. The PC prints that he wasn't able to find "firefox.exe". So I made a shortcut named "firefox.exe". But it still printed the same.
So I used Linux to remove the *.ink at the end. It was: firefox.exe.Ink and I made it to "firefox.exe". But it seems that he couldn't use the shortcut anymore.
Does anyone has an idea how I can change this? Of course I can start "fire.exe" manually, but it's just nicer to start it via the Menu.

P.S.:Sorry for my bad English, I'm a German.

Move FirefoxPortable.ini

You can do this through the launcher and an ini file.

1. Copy FirefoxPortable.ini from X:/PortableApps/FirefoxPortable/Other/Source/ and paste it in X:/PortableApps/FirefoxPortable/

2. Open up FirefoxPortable.ini with notepad

3. The 6th line down says "FirefoxExecutable=firefox.exe" change firefox.exe to whatever you would like the executable to be called, in your case it would be "fire.exe"

4. Save and close FirefoxPortable.ini

5. You then rename firefox.exe to the same thing you have in FirefoxPortable.ini, in your case fire.exe.

Doing this will allow the launcher to work as it was originally intended and it should not be blocked. If FirefoxPortable.exe is blocked, then you can rename that to whatever you like, you don't have to change anything in the ini file.
