Can't update properly.

Whenever i launch FF appears a little window and the following message: "Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few moments . . .", after a while appears the message "One or more files could not be updated. Please make sure all other applications are closed and that you have permission to modify files, and then restart Firefox to try again". I click OK and both these actions repeats themselves, and after the second or third time of this process FF get launched. Is there a way to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

IDK if it has been resolved

yet. But there is a bug in FF 2.0, where allowing updates from Mozilla will mess up
a FF Portable install. In the Firefox Portable support page, it was recommended that you turn off auto updating in Tools>Options>Advanced>Update. From what I understand, this bug (possibly) carried over into FF 3 and to update properly, it was recommended that you download the update from here, PortableApps.com and install it OVER you current install. This keeps your copy of Firefox as a portable install, not a fully installed version, which is what the bug creates.

Deleted Updates

Close it and browse to your FirefoxPortable\Data\profile directory. In there, delete the updates directory. Then restart Firefox Portable and be sure to turn off updates.
