Portable VoIP/SIP Client

I'm sure this has come up many times before, however this time I'm not only making an app request, but a request for inclusion into the official site.

The reason is that VoIP is very quickly becoming an integral part of the internet and I'm pretty suprised that there's no client in the apps list.

It's not like there's not plenty of choice...

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_VoIP_software#General_softpho...

There's plenty of Open Source/GPL choices.

I hear WengoPhone/OpenWengo is good.

Who else is with me on this?

Doesn't stay ( unfortunately ) much OpenSource Voip application but I suggest to use PhonerLite that is freeware made to be completely portable Sip/Voip program, and you can use it with any Voip/Sip operator you like.

Here are the link :

and for download :

Apparently to be credible for portableapps, it has to be both free and open source.

Unfortunately, it seems your option doesn't qualify...

Does anyone have any better suggestions?

I'd really like to see this.

Much appreciated.

Wengo?

Wengo?

I see quite a bit of mention of Wengo Phone on this site, however I'm quite supprised there's no official support of it, or any other VoIP client for that matter...

Wengo is mentioned in all these threads.
https://portableapps.com/node/980
https://portableapps.com/node/5087
https://portableapps.com/node/10472
https://portableapps.com/node/11264

There's suggestion of Skype, but it's not open source.

People have suggested Gizmo too, but many others say Wengo is better...

Apparently there is a portable version of Wengo Phone here: http://www.winpenpack.com/main/download.php?view.61

If this is the case is PortableApps going to support it?

Thanks.

The Best all in one i have used would be GIZMO5

gizmo5.com i'm glad i came across this post was hoping gizmo5 was allready portable. this sip + IM chat client it's mainly one of the easiest to configure and brainless to use. also you can get additional out mins and make it a portable sms in and out client pretty coool. since i have been a beta tester and user of orginal gizmoproject.com i have seen so much change, like for instant google's gmail no offers free SMS in and out bound to the usa clients. and that is soo tight and is free, nothing beats free. back to the subject ok gizmo5 allows third party sip input and configuration. voice quality is tight, and additional features that u can't ignore all for free. check it out!

Gizmo5 isn't Open Source. I think QuteCom is still the obvious choice here. I'd like to see QuteCom Portable.

Any takers?

Or this?

Though I don't know which is better.

I'd like one which shows my balance as well. 8)
