my usb flash drive's reading speed is about 10m/s, the writing speed is about 4m/s
when i'm running firefox portbale on my usb, each operation is slow, not fast as the firefox on hard disk of pc.
I can see the flicker of light on my usb drive when i'm using firefox portbable.
Is that my usb slow, or something wrong else?

if you have standard USB 2.0 or 1.1 then it will be much slower. also thoes are a little slow read/write speeds

I understand what you mean, the only thing that's slow on mine is the startup.
When you first ran Firefox Portable did you make sure to set the cache and history to 0? Another thing you might do is make sure that firefox is not set to automatically check for updates for itself or plugins. Also make sure that your plugins are not set to automatically check for data/updates, depending on the plugin.
