Hi, i was fiddling round on my computer the other day, and i found out that if i dragged a program folder from Program Files in Windows (Safari for example) into my PA folder on my portable apps drive, that it would launch off the PA menu, and would work 'portably' on another computer. From doing this, i managed to get Safari to work portably on any computer.
Would this be completly portable? or would it leave files on the users computer?
It would probably write informations in the registry, which doesn't make it portable. To make sure, we would have to check what is the program actually doing to the files and registry, and then create a launcher to make sure that all those changes are not affecting the host system.
But since Safari is not an open-source software licensed under the GPL license, it is unlikely the software itself could be hosted here. However, someone might be kind enough to build a launcher only in which you could manually add the files to avoid hosting the files here. It was done for softwares like µtorrent, etc.
One thing is you might find important to know is that there is the possibility of leaving your internet browsing history behind on the host pc when you unplug. I dont know if this would happen but due to its potential outcomes definitely worth mentioning.

Yes, but (And I reiterate I don't know but think) there is the possibility of leaving tracks on the host pc including glimpses of history and bookmarks. That I ubderstand is what the wrapper for FF prevents.
