Just downloaded the latest versions of thunderbird, firefox,
clamwin and vlc from portableapps. As soon as I doubleclick
one of these exe-files my firewall tells me, that explorer.exe wants an outgoing connection with remoteaddress: s9.addthis.com. And then the window to install the application opens.
So far, I never got this message about a connection to s9.addthis.com - also checked it again with an older version of the same programs. Just with the new ones it happens...
Is there anything new in this packages? I really like the portable apps, but I would like to know, if there should be anything new included in the installer packages and what it is.

It's not the EXE. It doesn't do anything remotely. So there is something else up with your firewall. (Remember, most software firewalls don't work anywhere close to properly)

thanks for your answer. hmmm... strange.as soon as I click the newest version of these downloaded exe, my firewall blocks an outgoing access to s9.addthis.com by the explorer.exe application. an it happens only with the new versions of the downloaded programs... What I have seen, addthis.com is a bookmarking and sharing service.
If the installer was connecting, you'd see the connection from the installer in the firewall alert. Explorer.exe means your PC or one of the add-ins to explorer is trying to connect.
