I couldn't find a portable version of this (and it does provide an open source) so I thought maybe somebody here would take the challenge.

An alternative might be DC++ which is the original application. I use the StrongDC++ so I don't know much about the DC++, but I guess it'll be just fine as well.

yes, I would also like to see strongdc++ portable
just install it anywhere on your computer
than copy it to flash drive
than it work on any computer base on windows like a charm :]

yes, I know.
But it will be good to have a package with strongdc++ to download from portable apps, so when the installer/updater comes you can install strongdc++ with a few mouse clicks.
