Is this a John T. Haller famous app or is someone else compiling the code, where is the website?

but it's almost if not the same thing

Who owns the code or is it "open source" software that can be re-compiled at any time.

I've noticed difference with how fast it loads but I haven't yet written anything to the .ini file because I can't remember what I wrote the first time.
