I recently decided to hide my desktop icons because it's cluttered and to avoid dumping more stuff in it; when I opened the menu, the wallpaper does not swap and it also does it with the older version. Is this a known bug?
So far my only solution is to enable my icons and hide my icons using the ini file.
I think I'm having a similar problem. I have the desktop switcher working, but I cannot get the ini file to retain my "true" value for hiding the icons. Every time I restart the suite, it does not hide the icons and changes the value back to false in the ini. Any help on this would be appreciated.
All the advanced options have to be altered when the Platform is closed.
And make sure you don't have the entry listed twice.

Actually my trouble is not the ini file, but when Windows has the icons hidden already, the wallpaper won't swap. I am not trying to hide my icons using the menu and I have not made any edit on the ini file to hide it.

If the icons are already hidden, there is a chance that Live Desktop is enabled. The wallpaper swapper does not work with Live Desktop as it covers up the standard Windows wallpaper.

Thanks, I will just do the alternative then.
