I released a version of wxDevCpp7rc6 available at

I added also unicode support, using DLL profile and wx-precompiled option Smile
Please read credits and improvements.txt inside the project
Hoping that this project can be a useful tool for developers 
wxDev-C++ lets you develop easily cross platform applications, with a good toolkit to build GUI (Graphical User Interface).
wxdevcpp is stable and still in development (typically an update each 3 months)...
The Portable version would be very usefull (the -c option to launch the suite with a defined profile it is not the same that the Portable version)

Roland, working with Maurice on wxDevcpp using your input, we found and fixed a few bugs. I have here a slightly updated version of the launcher for DevCpp. If you are interested, drop me an email.

Thank you for the Dev-C++ portable installer
I tried the devcppportable with wxdevcpp latest release (I just swapped the appDir)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wxdsgn/files/wxdsgn/7.0/wxdevcpp_7.0rc6_...
but all the time I start the portable edition it acts as for the first time installation...
I went to the .nsi file but I'm novice with nsis, so any suggestion would be accepted!

I had a look and wxDevcpp has at least 5 config files instead of 3 before and they are called:
wxdevcpp.ini
wxdevcpp.ini.ver
layout.ini
devcpp.cfg
cache.ccc
I am new to wxDevCpp, I was using devcpp but an other portable version. I like the one presented here. I may also like wxdevcpp so trying wxdevcpp portable right now.
I have made a launcher, HEAVILY based on the one above. Email me if you are interested it is untested and I don't have time to support it.
