Right now running 3.5.2 Portable Firefox. Even though I have disabled Auto Check for updates to Installed Add-Ons... it still seems to check for them. Seeing the same thing with Desktop Firefox.

Yeah have the same problem. Probably a Firefox bug (?)
addon is causing this? could it be that one of those 'forced' addons from MS or similar is causing this?
I had similar problems, but did manually unistall those addons and now all is quiet.
