There is a new menu out there: Geek.menu. as its readme states, "geek.menu is a portableApps Menu replacement with many features targeted towards a more technical audience. It is built upon the strong base of the PortableApps.com menu code, with many enhancements. Here is a quick list of the changes from the portableApps Menu."
It also has new features, like being able to seek out and install applications automatically. It is also much more accepting of apps. I just added Scribus and Paint.net to my program. Another useful feature is being able to search the web. Its final new feature is the ability to set an image for yourself.

It is, in fact, a pretty old mod. Its last update was a year ago. I used it until I started running out of space and I had to delete my programs a couple of years ago.
