Other : I am the developer of LRC and I saw a thread (https://portableapps.com/node/15781) that says you dont want to distribute it because there is no portable edition and it requires the microsoft .net framework. I cant see why this is a problem because there is a portable edition and you are already distributing programs that use the ms .net framework such as paint.net and eraser. I can also change the program so that it will work for you. Please reconsider adding this, Thanks! Biggrin

Yes and No

Hi and welcome to PortableApps.com!

Paint.net is a test in the forums by a developer, not an official PortableApps.com release. Eraser is an official release and we do 5.8.8 which is C++ and works on all 2000 and later PCs (6.0 is .NET-based so we don't package it).

We will, at some point in the future, post .NET apps but they will not be shown in the directory by default because they will not work on most public PCs (which are XP and only have critical updates... no .NET). Users that understand .NET and this limitation will be able to click a link to show .NET apps in the directory.

So, yes, sometime early 2010 it will be able to be listed. But right now it can be tested and posted in the unofficial .NET thread. Note that it must be in PortableApps.com Format for inclusion.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I can add it the the unofficial .NET list if you want. https://portableapps.com/node/21636 Since its opensource I will look and see if I can make it portable.
